Palestine Polytechnic University holds a seminar on the Improving Governance Project in Palestinian Universities
The PPU held a seminar on the project of improving governance practices in Palestinian universities, which is actually a joint project of five Palestinian universities and five European universities, as part of an EU-funded Erasmus project.
Palestinian Universities are ready to start the online training on university governance and quality assurance. This will provide capacity building for both the project participants and the leadership of partner universities.
The first partnership meeting of the UniGov was held on September 20 and 21 of September at the University of Siena in Italy. The purpose of the meeting was to analyze the activities carried out to date. The University of Siena explained how to use the diagnostic tool developed in the framework of the research activities phase of the project.
Following the Kick off meeting held in February, the UniGov Partners will gather at the University of Siena in Italy on 20-21 September to further analyse and discuss on how to improve the governance practices in the higher education institutions in Palestine.
Five European partners from Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Slovenia and five Palestinian partners have gathered on February 16-17, 2017 in Rome at the UNIMED headquarters for the kick-off meeting of the UniGov (Improved Governance Practices and Palestinian Higher Education Institutions) project coordinated by An Najah National University of Nablus.
